This is the third part of the fifth consecutive European Film Festival organised by the EU Delegation and the EU Info Centre in cooperation with EU Member States’ embassies and cultural centres in Belgrade. In 2016, a novelty was introduced, with the Festival taking place in several cities across Serbia before ending in Belgrade.

This way, the audience in nine cities had a chance to see contemporary films during the first part of the Festival held in May and then during the second part held in October and November. The Festival travelled to Novi Sad, where it was initially opened, followed by Nis, Sabac, Leskovac, Prijepolje, Prokuplje, Obrenovac, Uzice and Negotin.

The Festival will be closed with the screening of Swedish film Palme which deals with the life of former Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme on Monday, 30 January, at 20:30.
